Take care of your skin after shaving

Shaving causes skin irritation and a feeling of dryness. Many shaving products contain strong cleansers, disturbing the natural oil/moisture balance in the epidermis. The lipids (fatty substances) in the epidermis decrease, so the key is to moisturize, soothe and soften the skin again, without irritating it. This is because lipids are important to keep the skin soft, elastic and looking healthy.

A smooth balm with beneficial ingredients

Gentleman’s Pride™ is a mild, revitalizing, silky-smooth balm that contains softening cucumber extract, along with skin conditioning Aloe vera, rosemary and allantoin – which also soothes and protects the skin. Aloe vera and sodium hyaluronate help the skin to retain its vital moisture. All in all – a product that takes good care of the sensitive facial skin after every shave.

What is allantoin?

Allantoin occurs naturally in the plant comfrey, for instance. Allantoin has skin conditioning, protecting and soothing properties, which makes it a popular ingredient in different skincare products.

What is sodium hyaluronate?

Sodium hyaluronate is a variant of hyaluronic acid – the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid to be precise. Sodium hyaluronate is a popular ingredient in skincare products because of its skin conditioning and moisturizing properties. It is often used instead of hyaluronic acid, since sodium hyaluronate has a better ability to absorb into the skin.
